Choosing A Real Estate Auction Company Wisely

When selling multi-million dollar properties at auction, there are no shortcuts.  Here's an example of something that rarely works---Click on link below.  Earlier this year, I had been speaking with the owner of this home and his real estate broker about getting the home sold through auction.  There was reluctance on their part to incur the expenses that are necessary for conducting a successful auction.  Now they have a failed auction on their hands, a home with a negative stigma attached, and if the owner is going to sell it now he'll most likely be forced to lose more money than the relatively small amount it would have taken to market the auction properly.  Beware.  Auction companies are sprouting up like weeds, so go with a company that has years of experience and knows what it takes to get the job done correctly!  Note that there was not one bid on this property even though they had 29,832 page views.  This was after they were forced to reschedule the end-date, because they didn't have any bids the first time around either!  Sending out a few press releases and getting the home featured on the local 6:00 news was not nearly adequate enough for marketing the home.  In contrast, we average over 250 inquiries per property, 90 actual in-person previews of the property, and close to 14 highly qualified bidders on auction day.  Call Pat Kirby at (214) 649-7346 if you would like to get your $2 million plus home sold by the leader in luxury real estate auctions.
